wattEV2buy explores the YGM electric car strategy and list the YGM EV models, news, and sales as it vies for a position in the fast-growing EV market. In 2009 Yogomo (YGM) was established as a neighborhood electric vehicle (NEV) manufacturer like Aixam, Raytlle, and Polaris. YGM changed strategy in 2017 when it entered into a co-operation agreement with Great Wall Motors to develop highway-capable electric cars. According to the agreement, YGM will focus on A0 (small) class vehicles. In July 2016 Great Wall Motors acquired a 25% share in Yogomo. Great Wall Motors gained Yogomo’s NEV credits at no cost. The YGM E-Line mini SUV is the first EV produced by the company.
In line with its new EV strategy, the Yogomo
(YGM) changed its company name to Link Tour Automobile Co., Ltd and
rebranded itself to Link Tour. Yogomo is changing itself from being a
neighborhood electric vehicle (NEV) brand to a proper automobile
company. Link Tour will specialize in the manufacturing of A0 and A00
class EVs. It is speculated that the name change is necessitated by
YGM’s deal to provide GWM with NEV credits (CAFC).
