DENZA EV LUXURY SEDAN
The Denza EV, meaning “Rising Power,” is available in 3 trims, the Lifestyle, Executive, and Aurora. The 2014 version had a 47.5kWh battery capacity which was upgraded to 62kWh in later models. The Denza offers a special ABB wall box charging system as an optionality. The Aurora delivers 135kW power allowing acceleration of 0-100km/h in 10.5 seconds.
The OEM-suggested home charging with ABB Wall Box:
- ABB home wall box (7 kW) in 7 hours – cost: 10k yuan ($1,600 USD)
- ABB home wall box (22 kW) in less than 3 hours – cost: 20k yuan ($3,200 USD)
Denza is the first EV in China to achieve a 5-star rating in the C-NACP safety test.

Week 17 2018 - Denza 500 EV at the Beijing Auto Show
Daimler BYD brand Denza introduced the 2018 Denza 500 EV at the Beijing Auto Show. The Denza 500 EV has an improved range and more efficient battery, although at 105Wh/kg falling short of the new 140Wh/kg benchmark to achieve maximum EV incentives. The Denza 500 EV is packed with new tech including a central control large-screen system also supports LeTV. The 500 model also supports OTA (Over the Air) upgrade of software, Carplay and more.
