eGT Electric Vehicles
Easyjet New Energy Automobile Co., Ltd. (eGT) is a three way joint venture between Renault, Nissan and Dongfeng, created to focus on passenger electric vehicles. Renault and Nissan respectively holds 25% and 25% of the shares, whith Dongfeng holding the remaining 50%. The Easyjet HQ is located in Shiyan City, Hubei Province, where it will develop a 120,000 unit assembly line. eGT plans to start production of a small sports utility vehicle (SUV) at Dongfeng Motor ’s Shiyan plant in 2019. This car will be based on the SUV platform developed by the alliance. |
