QYEV Electric Vehicles

Qingyuan Auto (QYEV) is the Tianjian Qingyuan Electric Vehicle Company, a producer of electric utility vehicles for special applications such as refuse collection vehicles and post office delivery vehicles. At the Shanghai Auto Show in 2019, QYEV announced it's entry into the electric passenger car market with the introduction of an A0 class EV, the Xiaozun. Current shareholders include the battery manufacturer, Tianjin Lishen Battery.

Established in 2001, Tianjian Qingyuan was the first Chinese vehicle manufacturer that exported electric vehicles. In 2005 the company exported it's S60 "Happy Messenger" to the USA, where it was sold by Miles Electric Vehicles. The "Happy Messenger" was known as the Miles ZS40S in America, customers included universities, such as Yale and Stanford, and other organizations such as NASA and the Navy. The company claims that it did the world's first electric car crash test. In 2008 Tianjian Qingyuan built the first electric vehicle production line and electric vehicle powertrain production line in China.
