Welcome to wattEV2buy’s report for China EV sales in April 2018. We look at the Top brands and models, the gainers and losers and how the battle between battery electric (BEV) and plug-in hybrid (PHEV) technologies play out.

The highlights for Chinese electric car sales in January were:

  • Chinese EV Sales nearly doubled on that of February, selling 66,380 units.
  • The BAIC EC180 sold marginally less than in March but retained its dominant lead.
  • A total of 50,133 pure electric (BEV) and 16,247 plug-in hybrid models were sold in April 2018.

The highlights for Chinese electric car sales in January were:

  • Chinese EV Sales nearly doubled on that of February, selling 73,145 units, a 130% increase on April 2017.
  • The BAIC EC180 sold marginally less than in March but retained its dominant lead.
  • A total of 56,468 pure electric (BEV) and 16,677 plug-in hybrid models were sold in April 2018.
