Jaguar announced its entry into the Formula E series in mid-2016, to participate in the third season of this ever increasing popular series. The return marks the brand’s return to racing after a 12 year break from the sport.

Race Car
Jaguar Formula E formed a working alliance with Williams Advanced Engineering for the third season. Williams supplies the batteries.
The allowed energy consumption from the battery is limited at 28 kWh.
Jaguar and Williams will also have to develop a Rechargeable Energy Storage System (RESS), which includes a flywheel and a capacitor or battery.

2017 Week 7 - Season 3 Race 3
The 3rd event in the current series of the Formula-E electric vehicle street racing calendar held Buenos Aires Argentina ended yet again with a victorious Renault.eDams team. The e.Dams driver, Swiss-born Sebastian Buemi clinched his 3rd win of the series. The Brasilian Lucas Di Grassi’s 2nd position kept Audi’s ABT Schaeffler standings in the overall second position. The Chinese teams of Next EV and Techeeta were the only teams climbing the rankings, now lying 4th and 5th respectively. Newcomer Panasonic Jaguar has yet to score a single point in the 3rd season, with its drivers Evans and Carrol ending 18th and 19th.
2016 Week 36 - Jaguar enters the Formula E with Panasonic
With the third season fast approaching, we expect more news of the event coming from the organiser and teams. Jaguar this week officially launched its team and confirmed Adam Carroll and Mitch Evans as its driver line-up for the season. It also announced Panasonic as a title sponsor.
