PORSCHE 918 SPYDER PHEV
Porsche unveiled its second plug-in hybrid, the 918 Spyder as a concept car in March 2010. Production of the mid-engined Porsche 918 Spyder began in September 2013. Porsche sold the Spyder as a limited edition hypercar with only 918 units manufactured for the 2014 model year, no coincidence there. The Spyder accelerates from 0-60 mph in 2.2 seconds, making it the fastest accelerating production car. The chassis consists of carbon fiber reinforced plastic monocoque.
