Jiangsu Min’an Electric Automobile Co or Minan Auto EV is the first JV electric vehicle company to receive a production permit, authorizing it to be one of only a few auto companies to produce electric vehicles in China. The company was founded in 2011 and opened the Jiangsu MIN’AN Automotive Research Institute in October 2015 where it develops its new energy vehicles. Min’an Auto is set to unveil its first EV in 2018. Minan Auto is a joint venture between Hong Kong Exhibition Plans (China) Investment Co and Jiangsu Huai’an Development Holdings Ltd and based in Jiangsu Province. The Chinese automaker is developing various pure electric models, including an SUV, Sportscar, and Commercial vehicle. Min An lists the vehicles as follows: models as CO1 mail car, E01, A02 and B01.

Min’an gets the 5th production permit for EVs in China. The new factory,
which will be commenced in January will start with the minimum required
capacity for the coveted production permits. of 50,000 units. When
finished the plant will be able to produce a total of 150,000 units.
Phase one of 50,000 will cost $365,000 (2.5 billion yuan).
