CHANGHE IDEAL ELECTRIC CARS
wattEV2buy explores the Changhe Ideal electric car strategy and list Changhe Ideal EV models, news, and sales as it vies for a position in the EV market. BAIC’s Changhe brand launched a dedicated new energy vehicle sub-brand this week, called IDEAL. IDEAL will develop electrified economy sedans, SUVs, and A0/A00 class vehicles for city use. IDEAL plans to launch three vehicles in 2018, the Ideal EV3, EVS3, and EV5. The vehicles will be assembled at Changhe’s new plant in Jiujiang, Jiangxi Province. Construction started on the first phase in April 2017. The full project will total 1.67 million square meters with a capacity of 100,000 cars per annum. Phase one has a capacity of 50,000 and includes a battery assembly plant.
