BYD SHANG MPV PHEV
The BYD SHANG MPV PHEV (multi-purpose crossover vehicle) first saw the light at the 2014 Beijing Auto Show as the M3 DM (Dual Mode), BYD changed the name for the 2015 Shanghai Auto Show to the current SHANG. No commercial release date has been scheduled as at 2016. The Shang MPV competes with the Renault Kangoo, Citroën Berlingo, and VW‘s e-Co-Motion Concept. The SHANG is a 4-Wheel Drive plug-in hybrid and shares the same drivetrain as the BYD Qin, the BYD DM II platform released in 2013 for BYD’s plug-in variants.
