Borgward Electric Vehicles
The German Borgward Motors established in 1919 and based in Bremen aims to become the German Tesla.
The automaker is planning the first phase of a 140,000sqm electric
vehicle assembly plant with a capacity of 50,000 cars annually.
Construction is expected in 2018 for completion in 2019. The Borgward
electric car models will be developed on its E-propulsion drivetrain,
first introduced at the 2015 Frankfurt Auto Show. The E-Propulsion
drivetrain pictured below consists of an integrated DC / DC converter
with a total output power of 200 kW, total torque of 400 Nm, and energy
conversion efficiency of up to 95%. The E-Propulsion power system has
efficient thermal management which ensures a stable and safe operation
of the entire EV system in arctic and extremely hot environments while
extending the mileage of the vehicle. Borgward will also equip its
electric cars with an eAWD four-wheel drive system with ECO, Comfort,
AWD, Sport, Sport + 5 kinds of driving mode and brake energy recovery
