ASTON MARTIN RAPIDE EV
Aston Martin and LeEco, Faraday Future partnered in early 2016 to develop an all-electric version of the RapidS, the Aston Martin RapidE. The due date of the Aston Martin RapidE has been changed from late 2017 to 2018 and then 2019 due to a breakdown in relationships with Aston Martin technical partner LeEco.The unveiled car has been developed in conjunction with Williams Advanced Engineering, has 4 Electric Motors, one per wheel. The Aston Martin RapidE performance is expected to match the performance of the current fastest V12 engined Rapide – which would give its all-electric drivetrain an output of around 550bhp. Williams Engineering brings its extensive battery and EV experience gained from its involvement in Formula E where it had the contract for the battery supply in the first couple of seasons. Williams Advanced Engineering is also investing $125 in a battery factory in the UK.
