4. The UAE, which in the past have been a lesser attractive market for Electric Vehicles, due to heat being a factor in battery performance, this month set regulations for electric vehicle standards. As battery cooling technology improved over the last couple of years, markets such as the UAE has become potential growth areas. To increase UAE electric vehicle sales the UAE Government went further by committing that 10% of its fleet would be plug-in electric vehicles to achieve greenhouse gas targets.
